1. Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling, purchasing, or using any services provided by Ken the Handyman (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.

2. Scope of Work

All services are performed based on the written or verbal agreement between Ken the Handyman and the Customer. Any additional work or material not included in the original estimate or invoice will require a separate approval and may result in additional charges.

3. Estimates & Pricing

  • All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices may vary based on actual site conditions, material availability, and customer-approved changes.

  • Labor-only estimates do not include materials unless explicitly stated.

  • Trip charges, deposits, or retainers may be required before work begins.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has started.

  • Late payments may incur a 10% late fee or the maximum allowed by law.

  • We reserve the right to file a mechanic’s lien for unpaid work in accordance with Georgia law.

Accepted payment methods: Cash, credit/debit card, Zelle, CashApp, or approved digital invoice.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled service may result in a trip charge or loss of deposit.

  • If weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent completion, Ken the Handyman will reschedule at the earliest available date.

6. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

  • Provide a safe and accessible work environment.

  • Disclose known issues (e.g., electrical, plumbing, or structural problems) that may affect the job.

  • Ensure utilities (water, power, HVAC) are available during work hours.

  • Remove personal items from the work area prior to service.

Ken the Handyman is not responsible for damage to items left in or around the work area that were not removed prior to service.

7. Warranty

All workmanship is covered under our 30-Day Limited Warranty.
This warranty covers defects in workmanship only and does not apply to:

  • Customer-supplied materials

  • Manufacturer defects

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, pets, moisture, foundation movement, or third-party work

8. Liability & Limitations

Ken the Handyman will perform all services in a professional and workmanlike manner. However:

  • We are not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages.

  • Liability is limited to the total amount paid for the service in question.

  • We do not assume responsibility for hidden damage, mold, asbestos, or structural issues discovered during work.

9. Photos & Marketing

By receiving services, the Customer grants Ken the Handyman permission to take before-and-after photos of work performed for quality assurance and marketing purposes, unless otherwise requested in writing.

10. Safety & Compliance

Ken the Handyman follows applicable state and local safety codes. Customers agree not to enter work areas or operate equipment during service for safety reasons.

11. Termination of Service

Ken the Handyman reserves the right to decline or terminate service at any time if unsafe conditions, disrespectful behavior, or non-payment occur. Any payments due for completed work up to that point remain the Customer’s responsibility.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be handled in the appropriate court within Georgia jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

Ken the Handyman reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
